First, I’ll admit that I’d always been a little skeptical of Crossfit. I never looked into it much, just based my opinion off of what I’d heard from other people. Then I spoke with a few friends at work have been doing it for a while. They assured me it wasn’t what I thought it was. They’ve seen fantastic results, so I decided to give it a shot.
From my first on-ramp class, I knew that everything I had heard about Crossfit was untrue. Coach Joe is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He’s helped me out in the last month more than any personal trainer has before. He attends to everyone’s needs in each class, making sure all movements are done safely and to our full potential. You can tell he’s very passionate about this stuff.
The workouts are tough, but that’s expected. If I wanted easy, I’d go do some bicep curls at Crunch or Planet Fitness.
The locations is great. 223 is located conveniently on Route 23 (and even more convenient for me since it’s a few blocks from my house).
Classes run frequently. I’m able to squeeze in 3 workouts a week around my crazy work schedule.
I’ve only been here for a little over a month, but I’ve definitely caught the bug and can see myself being into Crossfit for many years to come.
