My journey into CrossFit came after I was working out with a friend at our office gym facility. I got really bored with the mundane workouts of Chest & Tri’s, Back & bi’s routine. We started to perform some of the routines, like “Cindy”, “Barbara” and the all to familiar “Fran”.
I was instantly hooked. The unpredictability of the workouts, the constant variance, the new skills, I couldn’t get enough, but the gym did not have the necessary equipment to perform the more advance WOD’s. I came across Crossfit223 and stopped in to talk with Coach Joe and Anthony. I couldn’t wait to get started.
I’ve been CrossFitting for a year now and love it more every day. All the members at Crossfit223 are extraordinarily encouraging. The coaches are focused not just on your “performance” numbers, but on your total fitness. From the enhancement of mobility, to the slight changes in technique for each movement, they are there for each and every member.
I just turned 50yrs old and have become a better athlete since joining, and it shows in my physical strength and my increased endurance. I may never be the fastest, but I’m getting faster!
